Workshops
A larger part of my time, besides creating sculptures at the studio goes in teaching art.
I love interacting with audiences and students as I am able to voice my experiences and share them with fresh minds. Being a self taught sculptor, I have, with my hands on approach to everything, formed theories, concepts, disciplines which only get stronger with passing time.
It is these theories that I have experienced and noticed that I share with my students of all age groups. My explanations are always accompanied by visuals which I pull out from my vast collection and design the talk according to the purpose and the age of the students I am teaching. I strongly proclaim, that I do not run crafts classes. The students are encouraged not to always agree with me a 100%,but to question what I say and form their own opinions about art, proportions and aesthetics as I did.
At the end of the day, its not me teaching the stuidents, its they who teach me a lot and help me stay fresh, attentive and alert at al times.
Since I make a note for everything i do, I was pleasantly surprised when I learnt that if I total the amount of workshops conducted, lectures given and demonstrations held, they have reached a staggering sum of 250.
